Bay-FM, also known as Radio 2BAY, is a community radio station broadcasting from itsheadquarters in Byron Shire and serving the entire bay area in the state of New South Wales (Australia). Run entirely by volunteers, its main mission is to provide the community withlocal information and quality entertainment content. Locally, Bay-FM broadcasts on 99.9FM, covering the Northern Rivers region of New SouthWales. In addition, its programs can be followed worldwide via its well-designed website. In its latest technical upgrade, the station has chosen AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT as the digitalconsole for its main broadcast studio. The decision was made based on its ease of use, robustness in operation, and high audio quality. AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT is a mixing console designed specifically for ONAIR broadcast control. Itincorporates all the basic functions required in this type of environment: automatic monitormuting, cough muting, fader start, signaling control, automation management for externalequipment, external communications, intercom, among others. Its modular design and compact size allow the console to adapt perfectly to differentscenarios: self-control, control room, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, or integration into large installations. Simplicity and powerful controlare combined in AEQ FORUM IP console, capable of responding to both basic and advancedneeds. The FORUM IP SPLIT version is based on the FR CORE modular engine, housed in three rackunits, and can be configured with up to six quad fader modules, as well as a control andmonitoring unit. AEQ FORUM can be equipped with multi-channel AoIP input and output cards, compatiblewith the AES67 protocol using DANTE technology. Thanks to this connectivity, it is possible tocollect and deliver signals to other consoles, routers, and terminals from more than 300different manufacturers. Alternatively, MADI connectivity can also be chosen, and theconsole can even be equipped with up to two internal digital telephone hybrids.
