The Complutense University of Madrid has once again placed its trust in AEQ, a Spanishcompany specializing in R&D for technological solutions for broadcasting, based in Leganés. More than a decade ago, the UCM already trusted AEQ to equip its radio studios with BRAVOanalog audio consoles, along with studio accessories such as headphone regulators andspecific cabling, thus enabling it to equip its self-control and broadcasting rooms for thepractical training of its students. AEQ recently supplied and installed professional radio equipment in four practice rooms atthe Faculty of Information Sciences, with the aim of offering students a fully immersivetraining experience in line with current technological standards in the radio sector. AEQ has been developing technological solutions for radio, television, and multimedia forover 40 years. Its catalog includes audio consoles, intercom systems, IP audio solutions, andother equipment designed for demanding production environments. Its AoIP audio solutionsare used by major media outlets and at international events. CEach of the four rooms has beenequipped with a desktop versionof the AEQ Capitol IP mixingconsole with 8 faders. This modelfeatures IP connectivity via Danteprotocol, which facilitatesintegration into AoIP (Audio overIP) environments, ensuringflexibility and reliability in dailyoperation. For managing the microphones in the booths, AEQ Netbox 4MH converters have beeninstalled, allowing up to 4 microphones per room to be connected via AoIP. This solutionprovides high audio quality and easy integration with the rest of the system. In addition, AEQ HB-02 units have been incorporated as desktop headphone regulators, ensuring that each broadcaster has individual control over listening volume, which isessential in both training environments and real-life broadcasting situations.
