Multichannel Audio-over-IP Interfaces

Sending audio over IP with off-the-shelf routing equipment offers cost advantages for small and medium systems compared to synchronous solutions over AES10-MADI links and TDM buses, which have greater capacity but require powerful hardware. In addition, large TDM systems can reduce their cost and increase their flexibility by using audio-over-IP links to reach equipment with few connection circuits to the central router.

That is why, in developing AEQ's audio-over-IP routing system, not only routers with AoIP connections and IP connection elements for the consoles have been conceived, but also the following interfaces and connection panels that allow audio inputs and outputs to be installed wherever needed.

NETBOX 4MH

NETBOX 4MH

NETBOX 4MH

Designed with the needs of radio studios, stages, multimedia spaces and TV sets in mind, providing high-quality microphone inputs and headphone outputs over an IP network using the Dante protocol. Plug-and-play technology with automatic detection and simple channel routing. Supports 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps network segments.

Description
Technical Specifications

– Channels: 4 mic/line inputs, 4 line outputs, in parallel with 4 stereo headphone outputs — each headphone pair assignable over a pair of line outputs. – 48V phantom power and electronic balancing for microphone and line inputs. – Data format: DANTE Audio-over-IP technology. – Plug-and-play technology. Automatic detection and simple channel routing. – Scalable and flexible network topology supporting a large number of audio transmitters and receivers. – Supports 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps network segments. – Ethernet ports per interface: 2 × RJ45, 100 BASE-T with galvanic isolation, usable for "daisy chain" connections.

NETBOX 32 AD

NETBOX 32 AD

NETBOX 32 AD

The NETBOX 32 AD interface has 32 input and 32 output channels, distributed across 16 mono analogue and 8 stereo digital connections. The stereo digital connections can be configured as AES/EBU or SPDIF. Also includes 16 GPI and 16 GPO. Ethernet ports: 2 × RJ45, 100 BASE-T with galvanic isolation, usable for daisy-chain connections. Scalable and flexible network topology.

NETBOX 32 AD MX

NETBOX 32 AD MX

NETBOX 32 AD MX

The NETBOX 32 AD MX interface incorporates the same features as the NETBOX 32 AD with 32 input and output channels, and adds advanced audio mixing capabilities for more demanding environments. 16 mono analogue and 8 stereo digital configurable as AES/EBU or SPDIF, with 16 GPI and 16 GPO. Includes integrated DSP audio processing card.

NETBOX DSP

NETBOX DSP

NETBOX DSP

A scalable audio matrix between 64 and 160 inputs and outputs, capable of receiving audio from a Dante or AES67 network and returning it mixed and processed. Can also generate test signals and send VU meters. Includes a software application for real-time configuration and control of the resulting audio matrix.

Software

NETBOX RTC software

NETBOX RTC

Acts as a summing and distribution matrix, mixing any combination of inputs at the appropriate relative level across any of its 64 outputs (16 analogue, 16 digital and 32 IP Dante), based on what is programmed in the Netbox RTC application at any given time.

The "NetboxRTC" application allows real-time configuration, modification and control of the resulting audio matrix. Any event or action such as presets, macros, individual crosspoints, and physical and virtual GPOs.

NETBOX RTC application on Windows

Applications

On the Windows operating system it performs the following functions:

• Routing with mixing and distribution of audio from mono or stereo, analogue, digital and Dante inputs, delivering it to analogue, digital and Dante outputs. • Management of configuration presets and task scheduling. • Multi-device and multi-user control with rights management. Ability to configure custom views and scenarios and protect critical lines. • Dante signals are routed within the IP network using "Dante Controller".
