It supports two independent stereo/dual stereo or four mono connections to two different destinations with selectable formats and qualities. Incorporates remote control and configuration support tools, three network ports, two RS232 auxiliary data links and choice of redundant AC or 48V DC power supply.
Control and configure your equipment from your computer.
All front panel controls are available in the CONTROL PHOENIX PC application, which allows you to remotely configure and operate an array of audiocodecs.
Control all codecs on the network (local or remote) from one PC. An optional multi-codec application allows to detect all AEQ IP audiocodecs in a local network to control them in a coordinated way from a PC or group of PCs. It also allows remote equipment to be controlled via the Internet, favouring a comprehensive management of the communications network.
Audio presence indicators and remote vu-meters can be deployed to provide the In- and Output Level indication for each AudioCodec regardless of its location.
Control Phoenix includes an agenda with copying functions, which allows to have a central and individual agenda for each codec.
Analogue audio inputs
• 4 x XLR female. Zin>9Kohm. Electronically balanced, line level.
Analogue audio outputs
• 4 x XLR male. Zout < 100 ohm. Electronically balanced, line level.
Digital audio inputs / outputs
• DB15 connector. Two AES/EBU interfaces. Inputs with SRC.
Option IP Audio Inputs / Outputs
• 2 stereo inputs and 2 stereo outputs, DANTETM/AES67 protocol). Dedicated 1Gb RJ45 port.
• Possibility to synchronise the AES/EBU outputs with the Input sampling frequency.
AEQ recommends the use of OPUS algorithm. Equipment provides OPUS with Fs= 48kHz, mono, stereo, selected 4 mono and 3 stereo modes, bitrates between 12 and 192 Kbps, bandwidth between 6 and 20 kHz.For compatibility with other AEQ and third party equipment , Venus 4 can work with a wide selection of algorithms; G711 Law A, Law u, G722, AEQ-LD, MPEG 1 and 2 – LII, linear PCM, and others on request.
To simplify the operation of the unit, AEQ offers the Smart RTP automatic call set-up mode.
In addition, it offers Phoenix VENUS 4 and VENUS 4+ users the services of its own SIP server at no additional cost. Features subject to change without notice.
Optional SIP Relay service to facilitate audio transport via a trunking server.
Optional SMARTALK service that generates web links for PCs or mobile devices to instantly download an OPUS audiocodec from the cloud that automatically connects via a SIP server to the audiocodec.
Two Ethernet ports (NET1 and NET2) for combined or separate use of control and WAN. Fully compatible with EBU Tech 3326 N/ACIP SIP recommendation.
